                                                                 The female brewer 
Statue of a female servant brewer, kneading the dough made of moistened bread in a strainer. The beer was produced by fermenting the barley bread in water, perhaps sprinkled with a little date liquor. Statues of servants were put in the tombs to continue their daily services for their masters in the next world .          Mastaba of Meresankh , Giza .
